SkillSea partners École Nationale Supérieure Maritime (ENSM, France) and Scheepvaart en Transport College (STC Group, the Netherlands) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a more intensified collaboration.
The signing ceremony was part of the state visit of French prime minister Macron to the Netherlands and was witnessed by French Minister of Higher Education and Research, Sylvie Retailleau, and the Dutch Minister of Education, Culture, and Science, Robbert Dijkgraaf.
By improving their mutual collaboration ENSM and STC Group take the first step in the expected collaboration between European Maritime Education and Training providers, one of the outcomes of project SkillSea. The main contemporary themes for the ESNM/STC collaboration are energy transition, digitization of ships, and further development of skills such as collaboration and leadership. To promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise, ENSM and STC will prepare the exchange of students and professors between France and the Netherlands under the Erasmus+ programme.
