SkillSea will play an active role during the upcoming European Maritime Day in Brest, France.  Project SkillSea will be presented and discussed in a joint workshop about future skills for the blue economy. Italian project partner ForeMare will represent SkillSea.

 

The joint workshop aims at facilitating the dialogue between the different key actors of the sustainable blue economy. In this workshop it will be discussed what key competences (soft-skills, green, digital skills, etc.) and innovative didactic approaches are necessary to improve the know-how and expertise of professionals in the blue economy. The outcomes of the debate during the workshop will useful for the development of key-recommendations to policymakers and stakeholders.

The European Maritime Day is the annual two-day event organised by the European Commission on which Europe’s maritime community meet to network, discuss, and outline joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy. This year the event take place in Brest, France, on 24 and 25 May.
