At 16 and 23 February 2022 an online SkillSea seminar took place on the subject of Green and Digital Skills for maritime professionals. We received about 40 online attendees, mostly working at Maritime Training and Education Institutions and at national authorities.
At 14 December 2021 the first online SkillSea seminar took place. We received about 60 online attendees, mostly working at Maritime Training and Education Institutions and at national authorities. If you are interested you there is a second opportunity to attend the same programme at 15 January 2022.
Our project coordinator Job Groen and Alco Weeke on behalf of ST Group have presented an update on our project SkillSea at the Business2Sea conference on Monday November 16. Business2Sea is an international event dedicated to facilitate interaction among people and organizations and to promote projects and businesses within the marine economy.
The event is organized by Fórum Oceano, one of the driving forces of the Portuguese maritime cluster, togehter with Spanish Cetmar foundation, that works to improve the marine environment, its resources and all the sectors involved.
The conference session will present how skill requirements in the blue economy will likely change in the future as a result of emerging trends such as digitalisation, the rising demand for more sustainable practices and the adoption of new technologies.
